CCTV footage taken outside a subdivision in Barangay Bagong Bayan reportedly showed the suspect handing over a paper bag to a man waiting outside the gate. Afterward, she was also seen escorting the man to his motorcycle before walking back into the subdivision.
According to police investigators, the incident happened while the employer was away on vacation. Authorities said the suspect allegedly entered her employer’s bedroom and searched through drawers where the cash and jewelry were kept.
“Pinipigilan siya na huwag gawin ’yon at ginawa niya, nag-lock siya ng pinto,” police said in the report.

Investigators added that another household helper inside the house became suspicious of the woman’s actions. By the time the helper returned to their room, the suspect had allegedly already taken the valuables out of the house and handed them to the man waiting outside the subdivision.
Police said the suspect later attempted to take more jewelry from the house. However, another helper reportedly stopped her and immediately contacted their employer, who then coordinated with authorities.
Among the items allegedly stolen were more than P1 million in cash and various pieces of jewelry, including earrings and necklaces worth over P1 million.
Authorities also revealed that the suspect allegedly hid the valuables inside a plastic bag covered with food items to avoid drawing attention from subdivision guards.
“Ang sabi niya para kung sakaling masita siya ng mga gwardya, hindi mapansin ’yung mga alahas na dala niya tsaka ’yung pera,” police explained.
The report also stated that the suspect had been working for the employer since 2016, although she reportedly left and returned several times over the years. Her latest return to work was allegedly in 2025.
Meanwhile, the suspect denied intentionally stealing the valuables. She claimed she only followed instructions from someone who called her cellphone and pretended to be her employer.
“Ginawa ko ’yun base sa utos lang po doon sa cellphone na kausap ko po kay ma’am,” the suspect said.
When asked who called her, she answered, “Yung boses po ni ma’am sinasabi niya na pumunta ako sa kwarto niya kunin ko daw yung mga alahas niya doon.”
The suspect is now facing a qualified theft complaint. Police are also conducting follow-up operations to identify the man who allegedly received the paper bag outside the subdivision.
