The shocking crime came to light after a neighbor noticed what appeared to be a human foot sticking out of the ground in a vacant lot in Barangay Daklan. Police later confirmed that the partially buried body belonged to the suspect’s elderly mother.
According to a report from GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon aired on Thursday, the incident reportedly happened on May 3.
Authorities said they responded after receiving information about a suspected body buried in the area.

During the investigation, police gathered statements from witnesses who allegedly saw the suspect digging and burying something in the vacant lot that same afternoon.
One witness reportedly became suspicious and asked his child to check the area. The child then saw a human foot protruding from the soil, prompting residents to alert authorities.
Investigators also discovered bloodstains inside the house where the suspect and the victim reportedly lived together, further strengthening the case against the man.
Police arrested the suspect shortly after the discovery. However, authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the alleged killing.
Investigators are also trying to obtain statements from relatives of the victim and the suspect to help establish more details surrounding the incident.
The case remains under investigation as authorities continue gathering evidence and testimonies related to the crime.
