According to a report aired on Balitanghali on Wednesday, the incident occurred while the victim was inside her home putting her child to sleep.
Police said the suspect, who was reportedly intoxicated, suddenly arrived at the house shouting and causing a disturbance.
The situation escalated when the suspect began demanding payment for the supposed ₱500 debt.

Investigators said the victim eventually stepped outside to face him, but the encounter quickly turned violent. Without warning, the suspect allegedly stabbed the woman multiple times.
Her child, who attempted to intervene during the attack, was also injured in the process.
Further investigation revealed that the unpaid amount was reportedly used by the victim to cover the suspect’s electricity expenses, as his power line was connected to her household.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Authorities conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the suspect. He has yet to issue any statement regarding the incident.
