The real name of Enrique Gil is Enrique Mari Bacay Gil V (the fifth). He was born on the 30th of March 1992 in Cebu, a province in the Philippines. For his primary school education, Enrique schooled at Montessori De Manila in Las Pinas. He later attended Manresa School in Parañaque, and by 2008 he was done with schooling. Quen later attended San Beda College at Alabang and studied a course of Information Technology. He, however, dropped out along the way to pursue his acting passion. In 2017, he decided to resume his studies and started a Business Management programme at Southville International School.

In 2011, Enrique was supposed to play the role of Michael Miranda in Mula Sa Puso, though his period was cut short. The show was, however, canceled.
