Two men were reportedly abducted in Cebu City after they were forcibly taken into a white van, according to a report by SONA posted on YouTube.

In the CCTV footage, several suspects could be seen dragging the two men into the van. One of the victims tried to resist and fight back, but he was still forced inside the vehicle.

Aside from the alleged abduction, the suspects also reportedly took the victims’ vehicle after the incident.

According to the police, they are not treating the case as a kidnapping-for-ransom incident. Investigators believe that the motive may be personal.

The investigation also revealed a possible connection between the incident and a car rental business. Authorities have yet to disclose further details about the alleged dispute, but the business is now part of the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, one of the abducted men was later found safe and released in Naga, Cebu. He is currently being treated as a person of interest as the investigation continues.

Authorities are still searching for the other victim, who remains missing as of this writing.

Police are also reviewing CCTV footage and other pieces of evidence to identify all individuals involved in the alleged abduction and determine whether more people are connected to the case.

In the SONA report, police said they are leaning toward a personal motive rather than a kidnapping-for-ransom operation.

The victims’ families have yet to release any statement while the investigation remains ongoing.
