A 32-year-old woman and her 4-year-old child were found dead after they were repeatedly stabbed inside their home in San Pablo City, Laguna.

According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the victims were discovered by the family’s father inside their house in Patria Subdivision, Barangay Del Remedio, on Sunday night.

Based on information from barangay officials, the crime was discovered at around 10 p.m. The child was still alive when rushed to the hospital but later died while receiving treatment. The mother was declared dead on the spot.

Authorities said the father was devastated after seeing what happened to his wife and child inside their own home.

The following morning, a 14-year-old individual voluntarily surrendered to the police over alleged involvement in the incident. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims and the minor suspect to protect their families.

The suspect is now under police custody as investigators continue to determine the motive behind the killings. Authorities are also checking whether other individuals may have participated in the brutal crime.

So far, police have not disclosed additional details regarding the possible reason behind the stabbing incident. Investigators are also waiting for more evidence and witness statements related to the case.
