Dani Ravena, the sister of sports celebrities Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena, has taken it to social media to air her side about the controversies going around that their family paid the Ateneo de Manila University for her to become a player of the volleyball team, Lady Eagles.
KAMI learned that Dani has posted multiple now-deleted tweets to address this issue. The Lady Eagles player shared her hard work to be qualified in being a part of their team as reported by GMA News.
“'All hype' 'payed to get into the team' etc, really don't understand why people who clearly have no idea about what goes on in my life and in the team have so much sht to say.We all put in the work and effort. We don't pay someone to run for us during training nor ask someone to...,” Dani said.
“Train for us everyday. So if ya'll think my family pays for my spot in the team then i guess u have to get ur minds checked. No time for negativity here so lets stop with all the “fans kami pero alam namin ang totoo” bullsht. The “hype” you guys call out is basically u guys makin,” she added.
“Look like being a “ravena” is the ticket to everything. Try working your a** les off instead of living your life behind your computer screens hating on people you dont know. peace n love,” the volleyball player stated.
Her brothers Kiefer and Thirdy were to the rescue to defend their sister. The Ravena brothers also took it to Twitter to protect Dani.
“Maybe they gotta look closer we never, EVEEEEER paid anybody to get into any team that We’ve played in. Not us. Look closer,” Kiefer said.
“Aint worth your time defending yourself from people who dont know ish. They hate you cause they aint you,” Thirdy said.
Kiefer was a former basketball player in Ateneo Blue Eagles where Thirdy is currently part of. The older Ravena is now a player of PBA team NLEX. However, he was suspended for testing positive for prohibited stimulants as reported by Philippine Star.
Their father is the retired PBA legend Ferdinand “Bong” Ravena who was known as “The Raven” during his time. Bong is currently the head coach of TNT KaTropa.
