Authorities allegedly recovered several sachets of suspected shabu and a firearm believed to have been used in the earlier robbery. The gun has also been subjected to ballistic examination.

During the investigation, police found out that the utility van being used by the suspect had reportedly been stolen in Nueva Ecija days before the arrest. Authorities also allegedly discovered conversations on the suspect’s cellphone discussing a possible buyer for the vehicle in Manila.

A 35-year-old businessman, who claimed to be the owner of the missing van, shared how quickly the incident happened.

“Mabilis ’yung pangyayari sir e. Naka-motor siya eh. Iniwan niya ’yung motor, sinakyan niya ’yung L300, umalis siya tapos mga ilang minuto bumalik siya, may kasama na siya kumuha ng motor,” the victim said.
