Karen Davila interviewed Senator Imee Marcos on the ANC program “Headstart.”
The beginning of the interview went viral due to Marcos teasing Davila, saying she is glad that the broadcaster is still in the Philippines.
According to the senator, she heard that Davila said she would migrate to another country if Bongbong Marcos becomes the President of the Philippines.
“Yes, good morning Karen. It’s nice to see you you’re still here in the Philippines… Akala ko magma-migrate ka pag nanalo ang Marcos,” Sen. Marcos told Karen.

Davila maintained her composure and her smile, congratulating Marcos on her win and telling her she is always hoping for the best for the country.
“Well, first of all, congratulations. Hoping always for the best for the country,” Davila replied.
However, it is not clear where and when Davila talked about migrating if BBM wins the presidency.
Fortunately, the rest of the interview went well as Senator Marcos tried to answer Davila's questions the best she could.
Karen Davila is a journalist, radio broadcaster, newsreader and television presenter in the Philippines. She is best known for her news programs on ABS-CBN and ANC. Karen has been praised for being frank and courageous when interviewing public figures including powerful politicians.
The newscaster recently went viral for sharing her sentiments on the retrenchment of many employees in the Kapamilya network. The prominent Kapamilya broadcaster even compared the pain she feels to "death by a thousand cuts.”
She also expressed her heartbreak after Ces Drilon confirmed that she has been let go by ABS-CBN. Karen Davila tweeted that she is heartbroken over what happened and that it was an honor to work with Drilon.
