Ice Seguerra shares update on Bimby Aquino's Eat Bulaga future and Kim Chiu's viral joke

Ice Seguerra said nothing has been finalized yet regarding Bimby Aquino's possible permanent stint on Eat Bulaga.

The singer, actor, and newly appointed Eat Bulaga director was asked about the topic during an interview while attending the White Party Manila, where Fire and Ice Productions directed the Drag Show segment.

When asked if Bimby would become a regular on the country's longest-running noontime show, Ice admitted that the decision is not his to make.

"I can't say. Of course it's the creatives," he said. When told that the writers would likely know, Ice added, "I don't know. I can't say yet."

Despite not confirming anything, the director shared that Bimby appears to be enjoying his experience on the show.

"Mukhang nag-e-enjoy naman siya," Ice said.

The interviewer also mentioned that some viewers have been comparing Bimby's onscreen pairing with Ryzza Mae Dizon to the popular AlDub tandem.

"Hindi malabo pero nakakatuwa," Ice responded.

Ice likewise looked back on Bimby's previous work with Ryzza, recalling that the last time they worked together was during the filming of My Little Bossing.

"It's been a while. The last time was during the filming of My Little Bossing," he said.

The director also had kind words for Bimby, describing him as someone who has remained grounded despite growing up in the public eye.

"But that kid, he is very down to earth. Makikita mo yung approach niya. I miss you. Nakakatuwa," Ice shared.

During the same interview, Ice was also asked about Kim Chiu's controversial joke involving Eat Bulaga host Ryzza Mae Dizon.

Although he admitted he had not seen the video, Ice still shared his thoughts on the issue.

"I think it would be better if we are more sensitive of people," he said.

As of now, there has been no official announcement from Eat Bulaga regarding Bimby Aquino's long-term role on the program.

Meanwhile, Ice’s spouse, Liza Diño, penned a heartfelt message to newlyweds, Jose Manalo and former EB Babe Mergene Maranan. On Instagram, Liza shared a carousel of photos from Jose and Gene’s dreamy beach wedding. In the caption, Liza congratulated the two and wished them all the best.
