Award-winning actress Nadine Lustre openly admitted that she is not afraid to speak up about political issues in the Philippines, saying that standing by her beliefs has always been part of who she is.

The actress made the remarks during her guest appearance on the latest vlog of Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila, which premiered on Thursday, June 25. The interview was filmed in Siargao, where behind-the-scenes footage of Nadine's newest television series, "Love, Siargao," with Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards was also featured.
While discussing her latest project, Karen shifted the conversation to Nadine's outspoken personality, noting that only a few celebrities are willing to publicly express their views on social and political matters.
"Iilan lang kayong ganyan. I mean, tinanong ko 'to kay Vice Ganda, 'yong iba takot. Hindi ka ba natatakot?" Karen asked.

"Not really," Nadine replied.
She explained that speaking out comes naturally because she refuses to stay silent on issues she strongly believes in.
"I think, I'm the kind of person who really stands for what I believe in."
The actress admitted that many of the situations happening in the country are difficult for her to ignore.
"Unfortunately, a lot of things going on and it's something you can't stomach."
She further emphasized that witnessing the struggles experienced by many Filipinos deeply affects her.
"You know, it's really, really hard to be okay with how our fellow Filipinos are being treated; how everything is treated in our country," she said.
Throughout the years, Nadine has consistently used her platform to advocate for causes close to her heart, particularly environmental protection and animal welfare. Her statements during the interview reflected the same commitment to using her voice beyond the entertainment industry.
