There are plenty of complains from netizens on social media about the sudden disappearance of their savings in BDO. A disgruntled netizen has shared on social media how she was shocked to discover the money on her Banco De Oro (BDO) savings account were suddenly gone despite her not making any withdrawals recently.

KAMI learned that Tonette Pajuelas shared her dismay on her Facebook account. She said that she was shocked to see that she only has P5,708 in her account after making a balance inquiry on an ATM.

Tonette said she never made any withdrawals and the last time she checked her balance was last November 11, 2017, during which she had P68,810.30.

She also received a payment of P2,950 last Jan 3, 2018 which would have made her total money in the account to P71,760.

Another netizen expressed her anger on Facebook. Erinnah Candiss shared how someone used her "BDO Kabayan" for shopping on Lazada. She also said that it is better not to save your money on a bank and she will never trust her money to BDO again.

A Facebook page named Hugot Photographer warns BDO card holders about emails sent to them. The page said that do not click links sent from BDO because their site was hacked.

"UPDATE! Patuloy padin po ang pagsend nila ng email sa mga BDO Account holders. This time gumamit sila ng free hosting para hindi matrace ang owner.

WARNING! Wag na wag po tayo basta magclick ng link at magenter ng bank account details naten. Kahit anong bank po pwedeng targetin ng mga hackers. Eto po ung page na mukhang BDO pero gawa lang ng mga hackers:
