Awra Briguela opened up about her decision to pursue BS Psychology in college and revealed that the program was not originally part of her plans.

During her interview with Karen Davila, Awra shared that she initially wanted to choose a course that was more connected to her career in entertainment.

She explained that she graduated from the Humanities and Social Sciences strand and initially considered taking multimedia or fine arts.

"Actually hindi po siya planado kasi graduate po ako ng humanities and social sciences. So at first gusto kong i-connect 'yung course ko sa career ko. So dapat po magmo-multimedia ako or magfa-fine arts po ako," she said.

However, her experiences in recent years eventually led her in another direction.

The content creator said she became curious about how people process different situations. She also wanted to better understand herself and how she has managed the challenges she has faced.

"Pero sa mga pinagdadaanan ko po and sa mga bagay na nangyayari sa akin, parang na-curious po ako kung paano i-process ng tao 'yung mga bagay-bagay para mapag-aralan ko din po 'yung sarili ko. Makilala ko 'yung sarili ko," Awra explained.

She admitted that there are times when she does not fully understand how she processes everything that happens in her life.

Because of this, studying psychology became an opportunity for her to learn more about where her thoughts and reactions come from. Going back to school has also played an important role in her life.

Earlier in the interview, the star shared that returning to school helped her start interacting with people again, make friends, and challenge herself to show up after spending a long period mostly staying at home.

Awra is now in her second year of college and said she has been enjoying the journey so far.

When Karen asked whether she hopes to become a professional psychologist someday, the social media personality said she would like to earn a license.

"Syempre Miss Karen, gusto ko pong magkaroon ng license kasi iba po iyung may license talaga and iba yung makakatulong ka rin sa mga taong alam mong napagdaanan din yung napagdaanan mo," she said.

She added that she also hopes to help people who may need support with their mental well-being.

For now, Awra remains focused on completing her studies while continuing to support herself and her family.

She also revealed that after finishing senior high school and becoming financially stable again through live selling and brand content, she began paying for her own college tuition.

"As of now po second year na po ako and nae-enjoy ko naman po yung journey ko kaya feeling ko po mapuporso ko siya," she said.
