Entrepreneur and online personality Glenda Dela Cruz, popularly known as Miss Glenda, became emotional as she shared throwback selfies from her teenage years and opened up about the difficult circumstances she experienced while growing up.

Miss Glenda began her post with a playful look at her younger self, asking her followers if they had also experienced being “jejemon” in front of the camera.
“Naranasan mo din bang maging jejemon sa harap ng camera? 🤣
Yes. Ito yung ginagawa ko palagi, pampalipas ng oras every breaktime.

I was working since when I was 12. Mahirap paniwalaan at madalas binabash yung kwento ko na ‘yon but it happened. That’s my story to tell at hindi lahat ma-iinspire kasi nga naman paano? E ganyang age, naglalaro lang sila at walang muwang sa buhay.”
She said her circumstances were different from those of many other teenagers, adding that her childhood environment and responsibilities shaped her differently.
“Ibahin niyo ako. Hindi madali ang pinagdaanan ko, kinalakihan ko at mundong ginagalawan ko.”
Miss Glenda also recalled her early work experience and claimed that she was among the pioneers of virtual assistants in the Philippines.
“Hindi man lahat naniniwala but I was one of the pioneer VAs in the Philippines.”
She explained that one of the reasons she decided to share the old photos was to remind people that having a carefree teenage life is something not everyone gets to experience.
“Actually, the reason why I’m posting this is that because gusto kong sabihin na maswerte kayong naranasan ang TEENAGE LIFE niyo…
Ako? Hindi ako masyadong nakapaglaro at bumarkada dahil sa mga obligasyon ko.”
Looking at the photographs also triggered an emotional response from the entrepreneur.
“Seeing these photos makes me cry…
Hindi ako nakapagtapos, hindi ko natupad ang pangarap kong maging broadcaster dahil sa naging tadhana ko…”
Miss Glenda then revealed more about the circumstances that followed during her teenage years.
“At the age of 15, he was 21, sumama ako sa kanya dahil akala ko may makakasangga ako sa buhay pero hindi nangyari ’yon.”
She became a mother at 17 and married at 18, an experience she described as happening around the time of her debut.
“I gave birth when I was 17 got married at 18 saktong debut ko. 🥲”
Despite everything she went through, Miss Glenda emphasized that she does not regret becoming a mother.
“Hindi ko pinagsisisihan na may dalawa akong anak dahil sila ang pinakamagandang nangyari sakin. ❤️”
She said her responsibilities have continued into the present, particularly following health issues she experienced last year.
“Bukod sa mga naging health issues ko last year, single mom ako, kailangang magpalakas para sa mga anak ko…”
Miss Glenda also disclosed that she is currently going through an annulment.
“I’m going through annulment.”
She acknowledged that she has faced numerous personal battles but said she remains determined to move forward.
“Sobrang dami kong battles pero hindi ako susuko.”
For Miss Glenda, the sacrifices she made throughout her life are closely connected to the business she has built.
“Kapalit ng mga sakripisyo ko ang Brilliant.
Imagine going through those things while building my empire.”
She admitted that constantly carrying responsibilities can be exhausting, particularly as she approaches another major stage of adulthood.
“Nakakapagod maging strongest soldier ni Lord, pero alam ko na siya ang kakampi ko.”
“Yan ang mga dahilan kung bakit ako pressured na malapit na akong mag trenta. 🫠”
Still, the entrepreneur said she has reached a point where she is willing to forgive herself and pursue happiness.
“Napatawad ko na ang sarili ko at utang ko sa kanya ang maging maligaya… ❤️”
Miss Glenda ended her reflection with a personal prayer for the kind of relationship she hopes to have in the future.
“Lord, sa tamang tao na please. Yung makakasama kong i-enjoy ang mga bagay na di ko naranasan.”
