Cielo Natividad opened up about one of the most painful periods in her marriage to former Hashtags member Nikko Natividad following the circulation of a sensitive video involving her husband.

Cielo and Nikko discussed the difficult chapter of their relationship during their interview with broadcast journalist Julius Babao for the latest episode of his vlog, which was uploaded on his YouTube channel on Tuesday, September 15. Babao visited the couple at the Vietnamese coffee shop they manage in Quezon City.
While their business was part of the conversation, the couple also reflected on the challenges they had faced together, including the controversy that deeply affected Cielo.
When Babao asked what had been the biggest challenge in their relationship, Cielo identified the recent controversy as the most difficult one they had experienced.

“Of course, ‘yong recently po. ‘Yon ‘yong pinakatalaga. Kasi parang ‘yon na ‘yong dapat tuldok, e,” Cielo said.
She explained that even before the sensitive video became widely circulated, she had already told Nikko that an incident of that nature would signal the end of their relationship.
“Pero hindi po ‘yon ang plano ni Lord para sa amin,” Cielo continued. “May mas maganda pang plano si Lord sa amin. Siyempre, ‘yong mga anak namin, sa relasyon namin, mas pinagtitibay pa namin.”
Despite eventually choosing to remain with her husband, Cielo acknowledged the emotional pain caused by what happened. She described the experience as feeling betrayed by the person she trusted the most.
Separation even became a possibility in her mind as she struggled to process the situation.
“Pumasok din po [sa isip ko na hiwalayan siya]. Parang three days akong hindi kumakain, umiinom [at] bumabangon,” she recalled.
Cielo also admitted that she initially struggled to turn to prayer because of the anger she was carrying.
“Sa three days na ‘yon, hindi rin ako nagpe-pray. Kasi nagalit din ako, e,” she added.
Eventually, she said she became tired of putting herself through the pain and began thinking about their children. That reflection became part of her decision to move forward rather than end the marriage.
Cielo had previously addressed criticism she received after choosing to forgive Nikko. In a statement she shared in March, she maintained that forgiving her husband was not a sign of weakness.
She emphasized that she had the ability to leave if she wanted to, but staying and rebuilding their relationship was the decision she personally wanted to make.
Her latest account offers a deeper look into the emotional struggle behind that decision, showing that forgiveness came after a period of intense hurt, anger, and uncertainty for the couple.
