The family issue resurfaced after Carlos openly said that his parents would not be invited to his wedding with Chloe. The controversy was further fueled by exchanges involving Chloe, Carlos’ mother Angelica Yulo, and his grandmother Angelita Poquiz on social media.

Amid the renewed discussions online, Ogie shared his thoughts on the situation through his Facebook account. He reposted an art card featuring Carlos’ statement about his parents not being invited to the wedding and offered his own perspective on the family conflict.

Ogie then pointed out that people who have followed the Yulo family controversy may have a better understanding of where the emotions between the family members are coming from.

And vice versa,” Ogie first pointed out.

He described the situation as painful for a family, particularly as different generations continue to express opposing views about how the conflict should be handled.

“Malungkot ito para sa isang pamilya. Lalo na at maraming marites ang humuhusga."

Ogie also reminded the public that outsiders do not know everything that happened inside the family while Carlos and his siblings were growing up.

“At the end of the day, wala naman tayo sa bahay nila nung mga bata pa ang mga batang yan. Hindi rin natin alam kung ano dynamics nila,” he said.

The host then shared a hypothetical situation involving his own children. He said a friend had asked whether he could imagine his children making the same decision when they eventually got married.

Ogie said his response would be different because he believes he and his wife raised their children properly.

“Ang sagot ko: hindi. Kasi alam ko, maayos namin silang pinalaki."

He added that he would ultimately respect his children's decision to build their own lives, even if that meant not being invited to their wedding.

Still, Ogie jokingly added that independence would also mean accepting the consequences of their choices.

He also imagined another condition involving the parents of the children's future spouses.

Ogie ended the exchange on a lighter note before returning to his more serious point about the bond between parents and children.

At sana, alam nila yan hindi pa man sila nagiging magulang."

He then invited his followers to share their thoughts on the matter.

“Comment below, baka mali ako,” Mama Ogs finished.
