Yeng Constantino revealed that she once auditioned to become a member of the SexBomb Girls before eventually making her mark in the entertainment industry as a singer.

During her interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Monday, September 7, Boy Abunda asked Yeng about reports that she had auditioned for the popular dance group before joining "Pinoy Dream Academy." Yeng confirmed that she did, recalling how her mother encouraged her to try out because of the group's popularity at the time.
"Opo, Tito Boy. Hindi po kasi talaga ako magaling sumayaw. Buti po hindi ako na-qualify talaga. Pero ang Nanay ko po, gusto po talaga ako maging artista. Eh at that time po, sina Ma'am Rochelle ay napakasikat, sina Ma'am Jopay. Sabi ni Mama, 'Baka ito ang paraan. Subukan mo, anak na mag-audition dito.' Pero Tito Boy, katorse lang ako noon."
Yeng also recalled how influential the SexBomb Girls were during that period, describing the group as idols who had become a major part of pop culture.

Yeng Constantino is one of the Philippines’ prominent singer-songwriters and is widely recognized as an influential figure in OPM. Her professional music career began after she won the inaugural season of “Pinoy Dream Academy” in 2006. She subsequently became known for her distinctive vocals and emotionally relatable songwriting, producing popular songs such as “Hawak Kamay,” “Salamat,” “Ikaw,” and “Jeepney Love Story.” Her music has covered subjects including romance, faith, relationships, and personal experiences, earning her numerous honors throughout her career. In her personal life, Yeng married musician and songwriter Victor “Yan” Asuncion in February 2015.
Yeng gave fans a fun behind-the-scenes look at her “Biyaheng Bente” concert, offering a glimpse of her rapid outfit changes and the hard work that went into making the show possible. She also teased fans about the concert’s upcoming Cebu tour stop, adding to the excitement surrounding her 20th anniversary celebration in the music industry.
The concert also featured a heartwarming and kilig-filled moment between Yeng and Ryan Bang, as Yeng stepped down from the stage during her “Biyaheng Bente” concert to personally serenade him. A clip of the moment, uploaded by talent agency Cornerstone Entertainment, quickly gained attention on social media, with Yeng singing Top Suzara’s classic hit “Sabihin Mo Na” while holding Ryan’s hand in the front row. The sweet gesture also delighted fellow audience member Vice Ganda and brought back memories of Ryan’s courtship of Yeng in 2010.
