In a heartfelt social media post, Jennica described her Sunday as a meaningful opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a good steward of the children entrusted to her. She expressed gratitude to the Lord for using Pastor Edric to provide guidance and perspective to parents like herself.
“Sunday. Grateful to the Lord for using Pastor Edric to enlighten parents like myself on how we can be good stewards of our children,” Jennica wrote.
One part of the sermon that particularly resonated with the actress was Pastor Edric’s willingness to share experiences from his own family life. Rather than presenting parenting as something that always comes naturally or without difficulty, the pastor reportedly discussed real situations involving his son and how he handled moments when he was uncertain about what to say or do.

Jennica said she especially appreciated hearing how Pastor Edric would turn to God in prayer whenever he found himself at a crossroads as a father.
“I especially appreciated how Pastor Edric shared real-life examples of how he discipled his son, including how he would turn to God in prayer whenever he didn’t know what to say or do,” she said.
For Jennica, the lesson was significant because it showed that even people who teach and guide others through their faith can experience uncertainty and make mistakes in their own families.

“It’s humbling to see that even pastors reach crossroads where they are called to acknowledge their mistakes and apologize for putting too much pressure on their children,” Jennica shared.

“I pray, in the name of Jesus, that everything I heard from today’s sermon will be etched in my heart and reflected in the way I parent my children,” she wrote.
Rather than viewing parenting as a responsibility she must carry entirely on her own as a single mother, Jennica expressed gratitude that she believes Jesus is actively present in the lives of her children.
“Thank You, Jesus, because I am not parenting my children alone,” she said.
She continued by expressing her faith that God moves mountains for her children, provides for their needs, and protects them in ways beyond what she herself can accomplish.
For Jennica, that belief also brings peace. She thanked Jesus for being present in their lives and said that their relationship with God gives them a sense of reassurance amid the challenges of raising a family.
“We love You, Lord, and we will worship You all the days of our lives,” she wrote before ending her reflection with a declaration of faith: “God is good!”
