Izzy Trazona has opened up about an unusual but deeply meaningful family conversation, revealing that she and her husband, Alvin Aragon, openly discuss death with their children as part of teaching them about faith, life, and their Christian beliefs.

In a social media post, Izzy recalled telling her children the day before to take a picture with her because she might die.
“Baka mamatay na ako,” she wrote.
“Yesterday, I told my children, picture tayo, baka mamatay na ako. ☺️😁”

Izzy explained that conversations about death are actually a normal part of their family life. Rather than avoiding the subject, she and Alvin have chosen to talk openly with their children about the reality that nobody knows exactly how long they will live.
According to Izzy, they regularly remind their children that their time in this world is uncertain. Death could come at any point, whether that means later that day, the following day, sometime during the next few days, or even months later.
“Actually, normal ito na pinag-usapan sa family,” Izzy said.
She explained that this perspective also affects the way they encourage their children to think about their decisions. Since life is temporary, she believes it is important to pay attention to the choices a person makes in the present.
“We always tell our children, na hindi natin alam kung hanggang kailan nalang tayo dito sa mundo. Pwedeng mamaya, bukas, sa isang araw, sa isang buwan etc. So very important, kung anong decision mo now. This is not our permanent home🏠,” she shared.
The message is closely connected to Izzy and Alvin’s Christian beliefs. She said they teach their children that, according to their faith, believing in Christ leads to heaven, while rejecting Him leads to hell.
Izzy also made an important distinction when explaining salvation to her children. She said they do not teach their kids that their parents’ faith will automatically determine where they will go after death.
Instead, Izzy stressed that each child must have their own faith in Jesus Christ and in what He did on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
“We told them, that if you believe in Christ, you will go to heaven but if you reject him, sa hell talaga,” she explained.
“Sabi namin sa kanila hindi ang faith ni mommy and daddy ang magdadala sa kanila sa heaven but their own faith on what the Lord Jesus did on the cross for them, for the forgiveness of sin.”
Izzy further highlighted the Christian concepts of grace, mercy, and God’s love for sinners as central parts of what she wants her children to understand.
Her discussion with her children apparently led to an unexpected response from her youngest child.
According to Izzy, her bunso said:
“Kaya si bunso, gusto nya die na daw sya🤭 because she believes daw and wants to be with Jesus,” Izzy revealed.
Rather than interpreting her child’s statement as something frightening, Izzy viewed it through the lens of her daughter’s sincere and uncomplicated faith.
“I really love the childlike faith! Trusting in Him,” she wrote.
Alvin Aragon, Izzy Trazona’s husband, first gained public attention as a contestant on the reality-based talent search “StarStruck.” After appearing on the competition, he pursued acting and eventually became part of several GMA Network productions, among them “Twin Hearts” and “The Good Daughter.” As time passed, Alvin moved away from the mainstream entertainment scene and devoted more attention to his family and spiritual life, areas that he has also discussed with his social media followers.
Izzy Trazona previously shared touching pictures from an arcade outing with her family after experiencing what she described as a particularly difficult and emotional day. She revealed that her family had recently endured painful and hurtful circumstances, but they chose to confront those struggles through faith. Despite having different personalities, Izzy said the members of their family remained connected because they all turn to God for direction.
