The actress surprised many when she showed off her post-pregnancy physique, prompting curiosity about how she seemingly regained her toned stomach so quickly after childbirth.

During her appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Wednesday, September 2, Lovi downplayed the attention surrounding her abs and said that lighting played a major role in how they looked.

“Tito Boy, magandang lighting lang 'yan. No, I don't know, siguro I got lucky and I don't know kung years of investment in terms of my body and working out, health, but good lighting talaga helps,” sabi ni Lovi.

Lovi acknowledged that she may simply have been fortunate with how her body responded after pregnancy. She also pointed to years of taking care of her body, exercising, and maintaining her health as possible factors behind her appearance.

However, the actress made it clear that her physique should not become a standard that other women or mothers feel pressured to meet after giving birth.

“I also want women to know that this should not be, like, a basis only of how women should be or how mothers should be. We all have different ways of bouncing back. Parang we all have different recoveries,” sabi ni Lovi.

Her remarks highlighted the different experiences women can have during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. While some may physically recover quickly, others may need more time, and Lovi stressed that neither experience should determine a woman's worth or beauty.

Aside from discussing her post-pregnancy body, Lovi also opened up about how becoming a mother changed the way she views her life and priorities.

Before welcoming their child, Lovi revealed that she and Montgomery initially had reservations about starting a family. At the time, she was focused heavily on her career and had several projects lined up.

“I wanna hold it off first. My husband and I, nagkakaroon pa kami ng usapan or argument about it and then like I wanna hold it off first kasi nga, I have so many projects lined up and all these things,” sabi ni Lovi.

Eventually, however, Lovi realized that it might be time to shift some of her attention toward building a family.

“And then eventually I'm like, 'You know what? Maybe it's time unahin ko 'yung sarili ko in terms of like family.' And oh, how happy I am now.”

The actress' comments reflect the major transition she has experienced since becoming a mother. While work and career once occupied much of her attention, family has now become an important part of her priorities.

For Lovi, her toned abs may have sparked public interest, but her message goes beyond physical appearance. She reminded women that postpartum recovery looks different for everyone and that there is no single timeline for how a mother should look after giving birth.

Lovi Poe is an acclaimed Filipino actress, model, and recording artist known for her breakout roles in television series like Bakekang and Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real. The daughter of legendary action star Fernando Poe Jr., she has built a distinguished career earning top honors, including a FAMAS Best Actress award for Sagrada Familia and a Cinemalaya Best Actress award for Mayohan.

In another report, Lovi Poe explained why she and her husband, Monty Blencowe, have chosen not to publicly show their daughter Sloane’s face on social media. The actress said protecting their child’s privacy and considering the realities of the internet played a major role in their decision. Lovi also acknowledged that they may eventually introduce Sloane to the public when they feel the timing is right, describing her daughter as a precious “treasure.”

Meanwhile, Lovi Poe shared that she had known from an early age that the late Fernando Poe Jr. was her father. The actress recalled that there was never a major family discussion specifically explaining their connection, as she had already been aware of it while growing up. She said stories from people who personally knew FPJ, particularly those describing his kindness, have become especially meaningful to her.
