Addressing those in attendance, Padilla said he wanted to use part of his speaking time to call on Filipinos whom he described as pretending not to notice what was happening.
The senator also claimed that members of the Senate minority were being targeted one by one and suggested that he could eventually face legal consequences over allegations that he helped Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa evade authorities in May.

Padilla also claimed that the International Criminal Court had issued a warrant for his arrest over an alleged obstruction of justice case.
However, ICC-accredited Assistant to Counsel Kristina Conti had previously clarified that any possible liability over the alleged assistance to dela Rosa would fall under the Philippine government and not the ICC.
Despite that clarification, Padilla maintained his position.
"Kasi ‘yong kaso ko, obstruction of justice, ang warrant of arrest galing sa ICC e. Dayuhan. Wala naman akong obstruction of justice dito…
The senator then appealed to viewers, saying the country would have no future if people like them, whom he described as fighting for the truth, were allowed to be imprisoned.
Padilla concluded by urging Filipinos not to become selfish. He said he already enjoys a comfortable life, has a successful entertainment career to return to, and a happy family, but claimed he chose to continue serving and enduring hardships for the sake of the public.
Robin Padilla, famously dubbed the "Bad Boy" and "Prince of Action" of Philippine cinema, is a legendary Filipino actor and filmmaker celebrated for his iconic anti-hero and gangster roles in films like Bad Boy and Anak ni Baby Ama. In another report, Mariel Padilla represented her husband, Senator Robin Padilla, during the second day of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally at the EDSA People Power Monument. The television host and actress expressed her support for the religious group's position and echoed Senator Rodante Marcoleta's call against corruption. Mariel noted that Senator Padilla rarely asks her to participate in political activities, making this appearance an unusual exception.
Meanwhile, BB Gandanghari made a public appeal to Senator Kiko Pangilinan as discussions continued over the proposal to lower the age of criminal responsibility. She recalled supporting Kiko in the past because of her admiration for Sharon Cuneta but said her perspective has since changed. BB also defended the proposal being championed by her brother, Senator Robin Padilla.
