A TNVS driver lost his life after being shot by his passenger in Barangay 176A, Caloocan, according to a report featured on "Unang Balita."

Dashcam footage from the vehicle showed the victim and the passenger engaged in a conversation while traveling. The passenger was seated at the back of the vehicle. Moments later, the situation appeared to escalate as the two were seen having what looked like an argument.
Shortly after, the passenger allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot the driver. The suspect then fled the scene following the incident.
The shocking encounter was captured on the vehicle's dashcam, providing investigators with important details about what happened inside the car before the fatal shooting.

According to police, the suspect had reportedly come from Barangay 188 and was said to have been missing. Authorities said he was unfamiliar with the route back to his home. A police officer allegedly assisted him and helped arrange a TNVS booking so he could travel home to Bulacan.
However, the trip ended in tragedy after the shooting incident occurred while the vehicle was on the road.
Law enforcement officers immediately launched a hot pursuit operation to track down the suspect. Their efforts led to his arrest in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
As of reporting, the suspect had not yet issued any public statement regarding the allegations against him.
The family of the victim also declined to provide a statement to the media. Meanwhile, police authorities did not grant interviews following the arrest.
Investigators are still working to determine the exact motive behind the crime. Authorities continue to gather evidence and review all available information, including the dashcam footage, as part of the ongoing investigation.
