Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco marked their daughter Stela’s First Communion with a celebration surrounded by their loved ones.

On Sunday, August 30, Melai shared photos from the special occasion on social media, showing the family coming together for Stela’s important milestone. Her cousins, Mark Andrei and Martha, were also part of the celebration as they received their First Communion alongside her.

Melai described the occasion as a dream come true and expressed her gratitude to Jesus Christ for Stela’s milestone in her faith.

“Stela’s First Communion is a dream come true. Thank you Jesus Christ for today that Stela’s entering her era of Central Sacrament which is the Holy Eucharist.”

She then shared how excited Stela had been for the day, noting that receiving Communion had long been something she looked forward to whenever she attended Mass.

“Sobra ka excited gyud cya kay matagal na nya pangarap yan every Mass,and official na tlagang makakacommunion na cya every Mass starting today Aug. 30, 2026. Yehey”

Melai also expressed her appreciation to Father Efren Diaz for being part of the occasion and mentioned that Stela’s cousins were her batchmates for the First Communion.

“Thank you po Father @efrendiaz1988 for always po and xmpre kabatchmate nya sa communion ang kanyang mga pinsan si Mark Andrei and Martha. We Love you Jesus.”

Melai Cantiveros is a popular Filipina actress, TV host, and comedian. She rose to fame in 2009 after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up. Her entertaining personality, natural comedic talent, and charisma made her a favorite among viewers while inside Kuya’s House. After winning, Melai entered showbiz and became successful as both a comedian and television host. In her personal life, she married Jason Francisco. The couple is popularly known as "MelaSon," and they have two daughters together.

Melai recently revealed that she and Jason Francisco went through a nearly six-month separation that was kept private from the public. She discussed their relationship during the premiere episode of “Hello Outside World” alongside Bianca Gonzalez and Esnyr. The couple eventually reconciled while watching a movie with their child and chose to work on their marriage again.

Earlier, Ai-Ai delas Alas praised Melai after they unexpectedly met at Shangri-La Mall while Melai was with her family. She expressed admiration for Melai’s kindness, humility, and respectful personality, while also sharing her happiness over seeing Jason again. Melai later thanked Ai-Ai for her kind words and said she was happy to finally meet the veteran actress in person. She added that Jason was also glad to reconnect with Ai-Ai after not seeing each other for a long time.
