Sophia Laforteza of KATSEYE gave fans, known as EYEKONS, an update on her well-being as she continues her hiatus from the group and prepares to sit out the upcoming European and UK tour dates.

On Monday, August 31, Sophia took to Instagram Stories to speak directly to fans about her decision to prioritize her health. The singer acknowledged that missing the tour is difficult for her, especially because she had been looking forward to performing and spending time with EYEKONS.
“EYEKONS, I can't express enough how much I want to participate in this tour and perform for you all. I have to remind myself every day that our health and mental well-being should always be prioritized. When I show up for you, I want you to get the best version of me.”
Sophia also assured fans that she is actively taking steps to take care of herself, revealing that she remains in ongoing treatment while focusing on staying healthy and maintaining a positive mindset.

“I've been in ongoing treatment and doing everything I can to stay healthy, occupied, and happy. You can't pour from an empty cup. It's important to care for yourself.”
As she takes time away from group activities, Sophia said she has been surrounded by support from the people closest to her. She specifically expressed her appreciation for the company, her fellow KATSEYE members, and those around her.
“There's been nothing but love and support from the company, my members, and everyone else around me as I work to get well.”
Despite being unable to join the upcoming tour dates, Sophia said she remains excited about eventually returning to the stage with her members. She also showed her support for the group as they prepare to perform without her.
“I can't wait until I return and share the stage with my sisters again. They're gonna put on an extraordinary performance for you, EYEKONS. Trust me, I've been watching, and they're absolutely giving!”
Sophia concluded her message by looking forward to seeing EYEKONS again and thanking them for continuing to understand and support her during her hiatus.
