“Siyempre, kami yung first reality show sa buong bansa, so wala tayong idea, wala kaming idea, ang lahat ng tao, kung anong mangyayari, at kung paano ba 'to,” Cristine recalled.

She explained that because everything felt unfamiliar, contestants naturally viewed one another as rivals instead of focusing on their own growth.

Among all the memories she carried from the competition, Cristine admitted that her elimination remained the hardest to accept.

She said the experience left her questioning herself while she was still very young.

“I went through it also, kinuwestiyon ko yung my worthy. Mixed emotions, of course. It was really painful going back. I was just 14 at that time.”

Despite the heartbreak, Cristine believes the setback eventually became an opportunity for self-improvement.

“I believe, katulad ko rin na unang natanggal sa mga babae, it helped me to look into myself, to grow, to see what else I can do pa."

Now that she evaluates aspiring artists herself, Cristine admitted she sees her younger self in many contestants who experience both excitement and disappointment during the competition.

“They're the same.

For aspiring performers, she stressed that rejection should never be viewed as the end of their dreams.

“Para sa akin, it's not the end. Nasa sa inyo na yung kung ite-take n'yo ito as a failure o ite-take n'yo ito as a step to grow better.”

She added that growth is possible regardless of whether someone continues in the entertainment industry or chooses a different career path.

“It might be in the industry or outside the industry. It might be in the corporate world or any kind of job. It's not the end. This is just a start of your journey.”

Cristine also emphasized the importance of authenticity, saying she learned valuable lessons through difficult experiences.

“I learned it the hard way.

She believes audiences naturally recognize sincerity.

That's why I'm saying na be authentic. Kasi, kung manggagaya ka lang, it's not real. You can't keep up with it.”

The actress admitted that, like many young celebrities, she once became vulnerable to outside influences.

She revealed that following advice meant only to attract attention became one of her biggest regrets.

“Ako, I learned that no, be yourself. If it doesn't suit you… If they give you advice like, 'Ito ang gawin mo para mapag-usapan ka…' It happened to me many times, pinagsisihan ko.”

Cristine likewise reminded young artists to remain humble despite success.

“Fame can blind you, that's why you have to stay grounded. Fame can take you anywhere. Don't let it blind you lang with the worldly things.”

Ultimately, she believes kindness and integrity leave the strongest impression.

“I still believe na at the end of the day, ang mananaig pa rin ay ang goodness mo sa sarili mo, at yun ang maaalala sa 'yo.”

Drawing from both rejection and success, Cristine encouraged aspiring stars to appreciate every opportunity while staying true to themselves.

“If you're famous, be thankful. But at the same time, huwag kang magbabago. Magbago ka for the better.”
