The actress and performer shared the story during her guest appearance on the June 23 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” where she was asked to compare the way she led the group in the past with how she leads them today.
Host Boy Abunda began by asking Rochelle how different—or similar—her leadership style is now compared to before.
Before answering, Rochelle explained that leading the group during their younger years was challenging because all of the members had strong personalities. She admitted that she often lost her temper in an effort to keep everyone focused and disciplined.

“Dati lagi akong galit, sa kanila. At alam nila 'yan. Nanghahagis ako ng boots, ng bangko kase ang hirap po i-handle ng lahat girls kase ano eh, lahat matatalak, lahat Alpha Female. Boy then followed up by asking whether that had already changed. “Naiba 'yun?” he queried.
Rochelle revealed that her approach has become more measured and appropriate for where they are in life today.
“Nasa tamang atake na.”
She elaborated that instead of resorting to anger, she now speaks to the members as fellow adults who already understand their responsibilities and know the difference between right and wrong.
“Ang sinasabi ko sa kanila, ‘O girls, matatanda na kayo. Alam n'yo na ang tama sa mali,’” she added.
Rochelle's remarks highlighted how her leadership style has naturally changed alongside the members of the SexBomb Girls. Her candid recollection also shed light on the dynamics within the beloved dance group. While she admitted that she once relied on a tougher and more forceful style to manage a team of outspoken "Alpha Female" personalities, she now believes that maturity, mutual respect, and open communication are more effective.
