Rising star Ashtine Olviga expressed her genuine shock and gratitude after being included among the elite roster of celebrities featured with their own sculptures at the recently launched Startista Gallery.

During a press conference held on Thursday, June 25, for her upcoming maiden solo concert titled "Love Like Ashtine" at the New Frontier Theater this coming August 23, the 27-year-old actress shared her thoughts with GMANetwork.com and members of the entertainment media regarding the viral attention her sculpture has been receiving online.
“Malaking bagay po yung masala ako sa ganun, lalo na kakakilala pa lang po sa akin sa showbiz,” says the actress.
According to Olviga, she was initially left in disbelief when actor-singer Wilbert sent her a photograph of the newly erected figure, not realizing at first that it was commissioned in her likeness.

“Sabi niya, 'Kamukha mo.' Akala ko kamukha ko lang talaga. 'Tapos, hala, ako pala talaga yun!” says Olviga.
“Nakakatuwa kasi ang galing, parang hindi ko ini-expect na masasali po ako sa ganun. It's an honor po.”
Addressing the heavy mixed reactions and criticisms from netizens who pointed out that the sculpture looks vastly different from her actual face, the actress playfully shrugged off the online buzz with lighthearted humor.
“Okay lang. Siguro gawa nung bangs po. Pero kapag nawala na yung bangs…” says the actress.
The gallery lineup places the newcomer alongside revered industry icons including Kapuso stars Michael V. and Paolo Contis, as well as prominent female figures such as Pops Fernandez, Ruffa Gutierrez, Angel Aquino, and Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. When asked if this milestone makes her feel like she has finally cemented her status at the peak of the entertainment industry, Olviga admitted to feeling overwhelmed by the thought.
“Ang gulo nga po, eh,” says the 27-year-old actress.
“Parang di ko po masabi na, 'Wow, I've made it.' Pero masasabi ko po na malayo po ang pinanggalingan ko sa kung nasaan man ako ngayon.”
Reflecting on her career path, she extended her deepest appreciation for the continuous influx of projects, alongside the unwavering adoration she receives from her fanbase and colleagues alike.
“Parang with all those experiences, parang mas na-learn ko i-treasure kung ano yung mga blessings na nakukuha ko—maliit man o malaki. Alam n'yo po, with those experiences din, naho-hone po ako, hindi lang yung artistry ko o yung craft ko kundi pati yung pagkatao ko mismo,” says Olviga.
Ashtine Olviga is a Filipino actress and singer under Viva Artists Agency who initially entered show business through the 2016 talent competition Born to Be a Star before performing with P-pop girl groups like UGG, Ppop Generation, and LITZ. She officially achieved her acting breakthrough as the tough, beloved lead character Jayjay in the hit 2025 romantic comedy series Ang Mutya ng Section E, winning TV Actress of the Year at the 2026 VP Choice Awards.
In another report, BINI Mikha welcomed a new furry companion after officially adopting a rescued puppy through the Pawssion Project Foundation. The adoption became possible with the help of fellow BINI member Sheena, who introduced her to the animal welfare organization.
