The actress shared her thoughts on Facebook following the recent discussions surrounding statements made by Ian de Leon regarding issues connected to the late Superstar's estate. The matter had already generated public attention after Ian clarified his position during a television interview, prompting reactions from several members of the family, including Lotlot de Leon.
In her first post, Matet addressed the wave of criticism directed at her and her siblings.
“Ituloy lang ninyo masasamang comments ninyo tungkol sa akin at sa mga kapatid ko. Tandaan ninyo, kami parin ang nananalo.”

She went on to warn those posting negative remarks against them.
“Matakot kayo sa gaba ng Diyos.”
Matet emphasized that she and her siblings know who they are and believe that those spreading negativity would eventually face the consequences of their actions.
She further argued that critics were making judgments without knowing the complete situation.
“Nakatingin ang Diyos sa inyo habang nagsusulat kayo ng mali about us.”
The actress also suggested that commenters were wasting their energy if they believed their words could hurt her family.
“May choice kami kung babasahin namin ang comments.”
“Kung masasaktan niyo kalooban namin o hindi.”
She then urged people to think carefully before posting online.
“Mag isip, bago mag comment.”
In a separate post, Matet hinted that there were significant events behind the scenes that had never been publicly disclosed.
“Maraming nangyari sa amin na hindi ko na ni reveal sainyo dahil hindi naman kayo kasali.”
“Pag nalaman ninyo, baka maloka kayo.”
According to her, many observers immediately assumed that she and her siblings were attempting to claim something that did not belong to them after hearing Ian's statements.
She maintained that there were details the public did not know and stressed that she had intentionally remained cautious in her previous responses.
Matet also took direct aim at Ian de Leon.
“Para sa’yo, ‘kuya’ ian, sana sinabi mo rin sa tao yung mga nagawa mong mali.”
She denied allegations that she and her siblings were trying to seize anything and questioned why certain matters were not fully explained to the public.
“Na hindi totoong nang kakamkam kami.”
The actress expressed frustration over being judged by people who, according to her, were unaware of what had truly happened within the family.
“See guys? You know nothing.”
Her posts quickly attracted mixed reactions online. Some supporters defended Matet and praised her for speaking out, with one commenter reminding others of her long career and contributions to the family.
Others, however, argued that personal disputes should not be aired publicly, saying family disagreements shared on social media often invite further criticism.
As of writing, discussions surrounding the issue continue to generate reactions from both supporters and critics across various social media platforms.

Maria Nora Ana Theresa "Matet" Villamayor de Leon-Estrada, born on October 4, 1983, is a Filipino actress who began her career as a prominent child star before transitioning into a reliable supporting actress frequently dubbed the "Best Friend ng Bayan." The adopted daughter of legendary actors Christopher de Leon and the late National Artist Nora Aunor, she has built a decades-long career appearing in beloved television series like Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan and hit films such as the A Very Special Love romantic comedy trilogy.
In another report, Ian de Leon clarified during his guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that his newly established single-owner company was created solely to protect and manage the artistic legacy of Nora Aunor. He explained that the venture also includes a foundation that automatically allocates 15% of its earnings to charitable causes. Addressing concerns raised by his sibling Matet de Leon, Ian noted that the idea had already been discussed during previous family meetings.
Meanwhile, Matet de Leon denied rumors of a serious conflict among Nora Aunor’s children amid renewed social media speculation. She clarified that what some people are calling a family rift is merely a minor misunderstanding and not a major dispute. Matet emphasized that there has never been a hierarchy among the siblings because Nora treated all of them equally. She also revealed that she often takes on the role of speaking up and defending her brothers and sisters whenever they face criticism from the public.
