During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, September 1, host Boy Abunda asked Angelica about the latest development after she previously expressed her hope that her former partner would recognize their son.
Angelica admitted that she remains emotional about the situation and shared that she and her son, Angelo, had already reached out to his father. She explained that they decided to write to him after she was hospitalized twice, wanting to make sure that Angelo would have an opportunity to know his father.
“Emotional po ako, Tito Boy. As of now po, wala pa rin po. I'm hoping na sana po 'yung sa anak ko po ay maayos. And actually, sumulat na po 'yung anak ko sa dad niya. Actually, nung na-hospital ako—na-hospital nga po ako twice—sumulat nga po ako at si Angelo sa tatay niya.”

Angelica explained that the letter was also written in case something happened to her, as she wanted to make a request on behalf of her son.
“Just in case na may mangyari sa akin o mawala ako, nire-request namin na sana, of course, bigyan ng oras at kilalanin ng tatay 'yung kanyang anak.”
Boy then asked Angelica about the possible reason why her former partner had yet to recognize their son. Rather than saying that he simply did not want to, Angelica said there could be other reasons behind the situation.
“Hindi naman po siguro sa ayaw. Siguro... siguro busy po ngayon, o siguro maraming dahilan.”
Angelica also revealed that Angelo had asked her why she was not taking legal action against his father.
“Ako kasi, ang sinasabi sa akin ng anak ko na si Angelo, bakit hindi daw po ako nagdedemanda? Bakit hindi ko daw kasuhan? Eh, mambabatas ako.”
Despite her son’s question, Angelica said she reminded Angelo that regardless of what happens, the man remains his father. She emphasized this perspective when explaining to her son why she had not chosen to pursue the matter through a lawsuit.
“Anak, kahit anong mangyari, he is still your father.”
Angelica Jones first rose to fame in showbiz as a cheerful performer and eventually became known by the nickname “Miss Flawless.” After establishing herself in television and entertainment, she later ventured into politics and now serves as a Board Member of Laguna’s third district. Angelica also shared that she faced heart complications and was pre-diabetic before the operation. Despite these challenges, she remains focused on her recovery for her only child, Angelo, and the people who continue to support her.
