Barbie Forteza, muling nagsalita tungkol sa cheating at second chances

Barbie Forteza once again opened up about her views on cheating and explained why she does not believe in giving cheaters a second chance.

During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, August 28, Barbie was asked by host Boy Abunda about her previous remarks concerning cheating and her stance on giving another chance to someone who has been unfaithful.

Boy recalled Barbie’s controversial press conference and the issues that were discussed during the event. He then asked her to elaborate on her belief that cheaters should not be given a second chance.

Barbie explained that her perspective was influenced by how she was raised, particularly the importance of valuing oneself. She said she makes an effort to treat herself well and believes her time and attention are valuable, especially when she chooses to give them to someone she loves.

“Siguro po sa akin, kasi the way I was raised is that pahalagahan mo ’yung sarili mo, and that’s what I did. Sinu-spoil ko nga ’yung sarili ko. I treat myself out, ganyan. Kumbaga, gano’n ko kamahal ’yung sarili ko eh. So loving another person na hindi ko kadugo, hindi ko kaano-ano, wala akong obligasyon para doon sa taong ’yon, tapos niloko mo ako. Bakit? ’Di ba? Pinili kita. Hindi kita obligasyon, pero niloko mo ako. Bakit? Eh mahalaga ang oras ko, ang attention ko. Well, that’s just for me.”

Barbie clarified that her views are not limited to cheating alone. She said she also considers other actions that could make her feel undervalued or treated less in a relationship.

“At saka ano lang po siya. Siguro, I guess, hindi lang cheating eh. Basta anything that would make me feel like I have been treated less.”

Boy then asked whether the feeling she was describing could be considered betrayal.

“Betrayed?” Tito Boy inquired.

Barbie agreed and explained that betrayal becomes particularly painful when she has already given her time, love, and trust to another person.

“Yes, oo. Kasi binigay ko ’yung sarili ko sa ’yo, oras ko, pagmamahal ko, ‘di ba, most importantly. Tapos binetray mo ’yung trust ko.”
