Viy Cortez candidly reflected on the highs and lows she has experienced as a businesswoman, admitting that the past two years brought some of the most difficult challenges she has faced.

In a heartfelt social media post, the entrepreneur opened up about the emotional and personal struggles that came with managing her business. She revealed that the difficulties became even heavier because she was also going through pregnancy and eventually giving birth during the same period.

“For the past two years, napakalaking pagsubok ang hinaharap ko sa pagnenegosyo. Halos mabaliw ako sa bigat ng lahat, kasabay pa nito ang panganganak ko noon,” Viy wrote.

The entrepreneur admitted that there were numerous moments when the weight of her responsibilities became overwhelming. She recalled crying and repeatedly questioning whether entrepreneurship was truly for her or whether she should simply stop.

“Ilang iyak at ilang beses akong nag-doubt sa sarili kung para ba talaga ako dito o kung dapat ko pa bang ituloy,” she shared.

Despite those moments of uncertainty, Viy said something would change whenever she visited her warehouse.

Seeing the business she had built gave her a tangible reminder of how much she had accomplished. She also saw the employees whose livelihoods depended on their jobs and the people who continued to support and admire her.

Those experiences helped restore a sense of determination within her.

“Ngunit sa bawat pagpunta ko sa warehouse, nakikita ko kung ano yung nabuo ko, yung mga taong umaasa rin sa trabahong meron sila, at yung mga taong patuloy na sumusuporta at humahanga. Doon, may parte sa puso ko na nagsasabing, “Kaya ko pa. Subukan ko ulit.”

For Viy, the difficult period was not without lessons. She acknowledged that she has learned numerous things from the challenges and now carries those lessons with her as she attempts to move forward.

She also recognized that there is still plenty of room for improvement, not only in the way she handles her business but also in how she approaches life as a person.

“Marami akong natutunan at maraming aral ang dala-dala ko ngayon. Alam kong marami pa rin akong kailangang i-improve, hindi lang bilang negosyante, kundi bilang tao,” Viy said.

Rather than attempting to immediately return to where she was before, Viy explained that she is choosing a slower and more careful approach.

“Kaya ngayon, sinusubukan kong bumangon at bumalik. Dahan-dahan, mas maingat, at dala lahat ng natutunan ko,” she wrote.

Her reflection also made clear that her business struggles have not completely disappeared. Viy said she continues to face challenges in her entrepreneurial journey, but her attitude toward those difficulties has changed.

She compared her current mindset with how she previously approached problems. In the past, she said fear often accompanied her whenever she encountered another obstacle. Now, she wants to face those same challenges with hope.

“Marami pa rin akong pinagdadaanan sa negosyo ngayon. Pero kung dati, hinaharap ko ang bawat pagsubok na puno ng takot, ngayon hinaharap ko na ito nang puno ng pag-asa,” she said.

Viy emphasized that she continues to believe every new day brings another opportunity to recover, begin again and make up for setbacks.

“Hindi nawawala ang paniniwala ko na sa bawat araw, may panibagong pagkakataon para bumangon, magsimula ulit, at makabawi,” she added.

Her message ultimately carried an optimistic tone despite her admission that the road ahead will not be easy.

“Alam kong hindi magiging madali, pero handa akong subukan ulit. 🤍”

Viy’s reflection offers a glimpse into the reality behind her public image as an entrepreneur and content creator. At the same time, she made clear that her struggles have not erased her determination.

Viy Cortez is a prominent Filipino content creator, entrepreneur and social media personality who became widely known through her vlogs and her long-term relationship with fellow YouTube star Cong TV. Her own YouTube channel has attracted millions of subscribers through her engaging online content. In 2022, Viy and Cong welcomed their first child, Kidlat, before the couple eventually got married in 2024.
