Lilet or Maria Luz Lilet Jodloman-Esteban finally clarified and spoke about the controversies thrown at her when she decided to leave showbiz in '80s. Because of her showbiz comeback, she was asked about those issues and she openly answered these questions.

She admitted that she heard a lot of rumors back then but her mom did not allow her to speak up because she was too young during that time.

"Actually, aside sa nabuntis daw ako at a very young age, nag-Japayuki raw ako.

"I was 12 years old kasi when I entered That's Entertainment. Pero never kong itinigil ang pag-aaral ko kahit na naging busy ako sa show.

"Dumating na ang time na parang mas gusto ko nang mag-concentrate sa pag-aaral ko.

"Hindi na nga kami pormal na nakapagpaalam kay Kuya Germs [German Moreno] dahil ayaw niya akong umalis ng That's.”

She was given a chance to visit her sister who lived in Japan.

"Yung tungkol sa buntis issue at pagiging Japayuki ko raw, it started when I had the chance to visit my sister who got married and lives in Japan.

"When I was there, tinanong niya ako kung gusto ko bang mag-aral doon.

“Alam niya kasi na hindi na ako sobrang active sa showbiz that time. So, umoo naman ako.

"Doon na nagsimula ang tsismis na kaya ako nawala sa That's dahil nabuntis daw ako, at doon ako sa Japan nagtago at nanganak.

She was interviewed by Abs-cbn when she first came back after her showbiz hiatus.

"Kaya when I was interviewed sa ABS-CBN when I was part of the teleserye Forevemore, they asked kung ilang taon na ang anak ko.

"That time, my daughter Elle was just six years old.

Nagulat sila kasi ang alam nila, much older daw ang anak ko, and really thought na nanganak ako sa Japan noon.

"So, doon ko lang nilinaw ang lahat.”

According to the singer-actress, she got married in 2008 to a church pastor.

“I got married in 2008. I met my husband [Jay Esteban] sa church where he is a pastor.

“That same year, I got pregnant sa first baby namin. Now she's 10 years old now.”

Lilet appeared in an international Coca-Cola advert, singing Tomorrow's People, shot in Liverpool, England.

She joined a contest named A Song Of Praise (ASOP) as a composer and her song "You Are Lord Of All" won song of the month in July 2014, the first one to garner a 99% score in the history of ASOP.

She went to compete in the grand finals on September 23, 2014 held in Smart Araneta Coliseum, performed by Ava Olivia Santos of the Freestyle Band. She is invited as guest performer at the Grand Finals of ASOP 2015
