KC Concepcion made an effort to slam body-shaming and promote body positivity on social media.
In her recent Instagram posts, the actress posted photos that are seemingly too much or too daring for the public. The first controversial photo is a portrait wherein she’s showing too much cleavage.
The second one is a lustrous body shot wearing a lacy sequined see-through, emphasizing her natural curves.
Though both photos gathered praises and compliments from her co-stars, the pictures also did not escape the unwanted comments of some bashers.
Some of the netizens claimed that the posts were too daring and she’s showing too much as if policing the singer’s body from the conservative eyes of the community.
But the daughter of Sharon Cuneta did not let the body-shaming get to her.
Having fought her own battle with weight obsession and staying within the conventional standards of body shape, she took her own stand on the issue and encouraged women to embrace their bodies.
In her recent Instagram post, she wrote, “I am a woman. And I will break the standards of beauty- or dare I say, Asian beauty, if I need to- by embracing my curves.”
“If you are like me, you need to know you are beautiful in whatever shape or size — it’s your body, take care of her, love her, make her better,” she added.
