The student's father recounted his shock upon seeing his child's injuries. "Nakita ko maga 'yung kaniyang nose bridge. May tama. Sinabi niya na sa akin. Pinalo siya ng teacher ng arnis," the heartbroken father shared.

The situation escalated when the child finally admitted that the violent discipline was a frequent occurrence.

The student confessed to keeping the repeated physical punishments—including a previous strike to the head—a secret to spare his parents from stress and to maintain a peaceful relationship with the educator.

Following a barangay report, a mediated meeting occurred between the family, the teacher, and the school principal.

The principal assured the family that the student would be transferred to a different section and the use of the rattan stick would be strictly prohibited.
