Acknowledging the meaningful life Alano led before her untimely death.

During her speech, the actress addressed the fears of parents regarding the involvement of students in social activism. She urged them to trust the judgment of the youth, asserting that their actions stem from a deep understanding of the country's systemic issues.

"Mga magulang na natatakot, huwag kayong matakot. Matatalino ang mga iskolar ng bayan," Vargas said.

Adding that those who protest are often those who truly understand the gaps in society.

The actress concluded her message with a call for solidarity, noting that their struggle includes even those who may currently oppose them. While the vigil was a space for mourning, it was also a platform for a broader demand for accountability regarding the incident in Negros.

"Hustisya para kay Alyssa!" she added.

While reminding the public to remain respectful in their comments out of consideration for the grieving families of all those who perished in the encounter.
