The Asia’s Multimedia Star discussed the incident during his guest appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice, where he explained what led to the much-talked-about moment. His energetic call for the representative of Baguio had amused viewers and quickly circulated online.

According to Alden, the situation was largely caused by differences in the audio inside the venue and the sound that eventually reached the online livestream.

“Ang problema kasi, 'yung audio sa MOA Arena, iba 'yung timpla sa naka-out online, sa YouTube,” he explained.

Alden explained that the sound inside the Mall of Asia Arena did not match what viewers were hearing through the livestream. Because of the size of the venue, he had to project his voice while hosting the competition.

“So, ako kaya ko siya sinisigaw, ang laki nung Arena e. Walang monitor,” he said.

The actor also admitted that he was unsure whether the monitor was functioning properly at the time. While everything seemed fine from his perspective inside the arena, he later realized that his loud calls had already been picked up by the livestream.

“Hindi ko alam kung working 'yung monitor pero sa loob ng MOA, okay. Nagsisisigaw na pala ako sa livestream,” he added.

The unexpected moment eventually became a source of amusement among viewers, with Alden’s emphatic “Baguio” call turning into a viral reference and meme.

Rather than being intentional for entertainment, Alden’s explanation showed that the memorable scene came from the challenges of handling audio in a massive live-event venue.
