The incident was featured in a report by GMA’s “Saksi.” Video footage showed large flames engulfing part of the school building as thick smoke rose from the area.

Several residents and barangay tanod rushed to the school after noticing the fire. They tried to open the locked gate so they could enter the compound and respond to the situation.

Their efforts showed the urgency of the moment as the flames continued to spread inside the school. People outside the campus could only watch while others worked to gain access to the affected area.

The library was among the rooms badly hit by the blaze. Books, learning materials, equipment, and other school property were kept in the area.
