Fire Inspector Bryan Acidre Pillula of BFP Mandaluyong said, “‘Yung dalawa po ay natagpuan natin sa mismong fire scene na dead on the spot.”

A 7-year-old girl, who was a relative of the two siblings, was found outside the room. She suffered serious burns and was immediately brought to a hospital. However, she was later declared dead on arrival.

The Bureau of Fire Protection said the children had been left at the house because their parents were at work when the fire happened.

Their parents were left grieving following the deaths of the three children. No statement from them was included in the report.

BFP personnel continued examining the scene to determine what caused the blaze. Investigators established that the fire originated on the fourth floor of the house.

“Hanggang ngayon, under investigation pa rin siya,” Pillula said.

Authorities have yet to announce the exact cause of the fire. The investigation remains ongoing as fire officials review the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Fire investigators are expected to determine what may have triggered the blaze after completing their examination of the affected area.
