Following the shooting, the school suspended face-to-face classes on Friday and shifted to modular learning as a safety measure. Authorities also maintained a security presence around the campus.
A school employee who witnessed the incident admitted that seeing the shooting happen in person was traumatic.
The employee also explained that parents are only allowed up to the school gate under the school's policy. The witness believed a previous disagreement may have been related to the implementation of that rule.
Meanwhile, the victim's sibling claimed that the suspect is a security guard assigned to the school. The family said the victim and the guard previously argued because parents were not allowed to enter the campus. However, they also claimed the two had already settled the issue before the shooting.
The sibling became emotional while recalling what happened.
The victim left behind three children. His family is now appealing to authorities to immediately arrest the suspect and bring justice to their loved one.
Police have continued their hot pursuit operation as the investigation into the fatal shooting remains ongoing.
