Leandro Legarda Leviste wrote a column in Philstar where he made a lengthy narrative as to why he is proud of his mother, senatorial candidate Loren Legarda.

He said that he is writing such because his mother deserves all the recognition in the world.
He said that his mom grew up in a middle-class family and then became an award-winning journalist before she turned 30.
He also recounted how his mother produced legislation and how she achieved so much at a young age.

"She has produced a body of legislation over the past 24 years larger than I can do justice to here. It can be overwhelming to think of how she achieved so much by such a young age, but it should serve as an example for what young people can do, in hopes that our country can have more people as committed as her to raising the bar for excellence in public service."
He also said that his mother knows how to work with others and has put family first before politics.
"While politics can be contentious, I have seen from my mom the importance of having civil discussions, empathy and respect for people even with whom one disagrees to pass crucial legislation."
As per Manila Bulletin, Loren Legarda shares the top two spots in the surveys for senatorial candidates with Raffy Tulfo, another strong contender running as an Independent.
Inquirer also reported that Legarda has gotten the support of One Bangsamoro Movement.

Loren Legarda is the latest victim of actress-host Alex Gonzaga in her recent vlog post. Just recently, the Deputy Speaker was visited by Alex whom she gave a farm tour. During the said farm tour, Alex began experiencing an itch on her leg which prompted them to stop the tour. The politician was then stunned upon seeing the condition of Alex's leg which she didn't know was all part of the prank.
