According to a report by GMA Network, the devastating incident occurred at around 10:30 in the morning on a Tuesday.

While busy gathering the vegetables, one of the brothers suddenly slipped and fell into a considerably deeper section of the fishpond.
Driven by pure instinct and love, the other brother immediately rushed into the murky water to rescue him. Unfortunately, the brave rescue attempt failed terribly, and both siblings were completely consumed by the deep water.
The relative who was with them frantically called for help from nearby residents, but it was already too late to save the two victims.
The heartbreak is particularly unbearable for their father, Joenil Vigo, who was working far away as a junk shop helper in Bulacan just to provide for his family's financial needs.
Reflecting on the agonizing loss, he shared his profound grief over the incident, stating: "Doble ang sakit na kaniyang nararamdaman sa sinapit ng mga anak."
Joenil mentioned that he last spoke to his family members over the phone the previous Saturday, completely unaware that it would be their final conversation.
To make this horrifying situation even more painful, the tragedy struck on the exact birthday of their mother, Mary Joy.
What was supposed to be a warm, joyous celebration of life instantly transformed into a day of unbearable mourning and endless tears. The family is now left preparing for a double funeral instead of a birthday feast.
In the aftermath of the drowning, local police authorities have officially launched an investigation to determine the precise circumstances that led to the incident.
