According to a report on GMA News' "Unang Balita," operatives from the Anonas Police Station arrested the 52-year-old house helper at a rental property in Barangay UP Village. Her 50-year-old live-in partner was also taken into custody.
Police recovered kitchenware, furniture, and other household items valued at around P33,000. However, the reported P150,000 cash allegedly taken from the house has not yet been recovered.
According to the police investigation, the incident occurred on Tuesday morning, when the homeowner left to meet a client. The owner's mother, eight-year-old child, and the house helper were left at the residence.

When the homeowner returned that evening, the helper was no longer there. The family also discovered that several household items and cash were missing.
Authorities said the suspect was a stay-in house helper who had been working for the family for almost two years. Investigators also learned that she and her live-in partner had reportedly been in a relationship for less than a year.
Police believe the two may have planned the alleged theft. Investigators said the helper had the opportunity to take the items while her employer was away and allegedly brought them to the location where her partner was staying.
When asked about her arrest, the house helper declined to explain her side of the issue and said, "Bahala na po ang abogado talagang magtanggol po sa akin. Ang abogado ko na lang po magpapaliwanag doon."
The suspects are currently detained at the Anonas Police Station while legal proceedings continue. Authorities filed a qualified theft complaint against the house helper, while her live-in partner is facing a complaint for alleged violation of the Anti-Fencing Law.
