Vice shared the advice after the UAAP Season 89 opening ceremony on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, where she discussed the growing exposure of student-athletes on social media.
"I just want to advise them, not just athletes, young people, to not consume so much of the internet, to not consume so much of social media. Because kung gaano karami yung cino-consume mo, kung gaano kalaki yung cino-consume mo na social media hindi mo nararamdaman na cino-consume ka at nauubos ka din," she said.

"Social media is not, is no longer as beautiful as it was. Diba? Parang mas toxic na siya kayusa sa fun, mas negative na siya kaysa sa positive. Kaya athletes or non-athletes, I would suggest na don't spend too much of your time," she added.
The comedian reminded young people that their lives should not revolve around what happens online.
"Social media is not life. Social media is not education. Social media is, it should be just a small part of your life to enjoy," Vice said.
She encouraged the youth to spend more time with their families, focus on their studies and make room for activities away from their screens.
For student-athletes, Vice particularly pointed out how negative comments about their performances could affect their mental health and eventually their performance in games.
"Imagine mo kung sobrang galing ka na athlete tapos masyado kang gugol na gugol sa social media. Tapos nakabasa ka ng pangit na comment about you and your performance, that will affect your mental health. And if it affects your mental health, that will affect your entire performance as an athlete," she explained.
Vice summed up her advice with a short but striking reminder:
"Kaya yun. Kung kayang wala, wala."
Despite having millions of followers, Vice also revealed that she rarely spends time online herself. Her social media team, she said, is the one that keeps her updated on what is happening across the platforms.
Her advice ultimately centered on maintaining a healthier balance between social media and life offline.
