In a video posted on her son Oliver “Olly”'s Instagram page, Mama Lulu said parents should eventually allow their children to make their own choices once they have grown up.

She also reminded parents to remain open-minded and recognize that their children have their own lives.
Kailangan open-minded kayo," she said.
Mama Lulu acknowledged that whether parents should be invited to a wedding depends on the circumstances, especially when parents strongly oppose the marriage.
Wala namang ibang rason. Eh bakit mo pa kukumbidahin?" she stressed.
She added that couples may simply want a peaceful wedding as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
Gusto mo peaceful. For the meantime, 'yung kasal nila, gusto nila kanila lang. Tahimik," she said.
Mama Lulu also reminded parents that raising children means allowing them to become independent.
Finally, she urged parents to set aside pride and acknowledge that they can also make mistakes.
Understanding is the best. At hindi porke't matanda tayo, hindi tayo maaaring magkamali. Period," she remarked.
