Papa Dudut has become widely recognized for the thoughtful advice he gives to listeners of his radio program and podcast, Barangay Love Stories. However, the veteran DJ and host revealed that his ability to guide people does not always come from having an immediate answer to every problem.

During his appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on September 10, Papa Dudut explained that he does not believe he needs to provide a perfect solution whenever someone shares a personal concern.
“Wala kasing perfect advice. Hindi, eh,” he said.
For Papa Dudut, making a listener feel heard is already an important part of helping them deal with a difficult situation.

“At the end of the day, kailangan mas maramdaman nila na may isang tao na handang makinig sa mga problema nila. And I think na-deliver ko 'yun,” he added.
The host also acknowledged that there have been numerous occasions when he could not immediately think of something helpful to tell a letter sender. Rather than pretending to have all the answers, he has developed his own way of looking for guidance.
“Ang ginagawa ko is I talk to my wife and ask her kung ano 'yung pinakamagandang advice na maibibigay niya.
Despite these moments, Papa Dudut said he has never reached the point of directly telling a listener that he has absolutely no advice to offer.
Instead, he sometimes turns to the community itself and asks other people to share their thoughts on a particular situation.
Papa Dudut also revealed another approach that he uses when helping listeners deal with complicated relationship concerns. Rather than deciding for them, he lays out possible courses of action and allows them to determine which one best fits their circumstances.
May option number one, option number two.
According to the seasoned DJ and host, the final decision should still belong to the person facing the problem. His role is to help listeners understand their choices rather than dictate what they should do.
