Kapamilya actor Seth Fedelin has spoken up about the continued comparisons between him and fellow actor Daniel Padilla, particularly claims that he imitates Daniel’s appearance, voice, clothing style, and habit of wearing sunglasses.

According to a report by Bandera, the comparisons have persisted among some online users, with several pointing out similarities between the two actors’ way of speaking and dressing. Seth, however, admitted that the repeated remarks have become difficult for him and have caused him stress.
During an interview with members of the media, Seth questioned why wearing sunglasses had become an issue whenever he did it.
“Ewan ko po ha, sa lahat ng nagsasalamin, ako ang sinasabihan na ‘bakit nagsasalamin si Seth?’ Sa lahat ng ganyan magbihis, ako lang ba ang nagsasalamin?” the actor said.

He also pointed out that other people wear sunglasses without receiving the same kind of attention.
“Meron din naman ibang nagsasalamin? Sa akin mas nakikita. I don’t know?” he added.
Seth then firmly denied using Daniel as a model for his own image.
“Hindi ko po siya ginagamit para sa sarili ko. At saka sobra na rin po akong naapektuhan to the point na nai-stress ako,” he explained.
The actor also recalled an instance when people mistook him for Daniel while he was out with his loveteam partner, Francine Diaz.
“Minsan naglalakad ako, naglalakad kami ni Francine, ang tawag sa akin, ang pangalan ni Kuya DJ. Ganu’n, natatawa na lang kami,” Seth shared.
He said even people who do not personally know him sometimes call him Daniel because of the perceived similarities.
“Yung mga taong hindi ako kilala, ‘yun ang tawag sa akin. Bawal po ba akong magganito ng buhok, hindi na ba ako pwedeng magganito ng salamin,” he said.
Seth further questioned whether he was expected to change his natural mannerisms just to avoid comparisons.
“Ganito ba dapat ang boses ko para maging ganu’n ako. At hindi lang po ako, nakakabasa rin ako sa kapwa ko artista na, porke’t nag-shades din, kinokomentan na nila na kamukha na nu’n. ‘Yun na agad,” he added.
Despite the comparisons, Seth clarified that he respects Daniel and even looks up to the success the older actor has achieved in the entertainment industry.
“At saka kung ano po ang nakamit nila, ni Kuya DJ, kung anong success nila, in terms of trabaho, pelikula, gusto ko rin pong mapuntahan. Pangarap din po namin ‘yun,” he said.
However, Seth stressed that admiring someone’s accomplishments does not mean he wants to copy that person.
“Pero siguro ‘yung gawin ko siyang salamin, manalamin ako at siya ang nakikita ko sa salamin, hindi po. May respeto po ako sa kapwa ko artista,” he explained.
Ultimately, Seth said he wants audiences to recognize him for his own personality, abilities, and accomplishments rather than constantly associating him with another actor.
“Gusto ko rin pong ipakita kung sino ako, ano ako, ano ang kaya ko,” Seth said.
His remarks highlight his desire to build an identity of his own while continuing to pursue his career without being defined by comparisons to Daniel.
