The 48-year-old man was arrested in Baseco, Manila on Friday, at 10:30 a.m., after locking his mother and daughter in the truck he was driving for three days.

According to PLtCol. Emmanuel Gomez, station commander of Baseco Police, the incident happened in July 2024 in the area after the accused suspected that his wife had another man.

"Sa isang restaurant pa lang po, nagkaron na sila ng pagtatalo dahil... nakakita ho ata ng something sa cellphone ng kanyang asawa, kung saan nagkaron ng selosan at umabot sa di pagkakaintindihan," said PLtCol. Gómez.

The accused allegedly assaulted his wife before locking him up with their three-year-old son inside an empty container truck.

"Kaya po kapag dudumi, at iihi, binibigyan lang ng plastic… ang problema kapag naiinitan ang bata at nagugutom, umiiyak po. Pag umiiyak, sinasabi ng accused, pag hindi tumigil, ilalaglag kita sa truck," PLtCol added. Gómez.

After three days, the accused released the mother and daughter and sent them back to their house in Bulacan. There, the neighbors noticed the bruises on the mother and daughter's body and immediately reported to the police.

In January, the court issued an arrest warrant against the accused.

He denied that his wife and son were imprisoned but he admitted that he hit his wife out of jealousy.

"Hindi po ako nagsisisi kasi 'yung pangako niya 'di niya tinupad eh… sabi po niya, hindi siya magloloko," said the accused.

He also admitted that he used to use illegal dr*gs while traveling.
