During their interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Thursday, August 13, host Boy Abunda asked Chesca if being perceived as an ideal family puts pressure on her or their children.
Chesca said she does not feel pressured by how other people perceive their family, explaining that their focus remains on their relationship with their children and what happens inside their home.
“For me, I don't feel pressured about it. Kasi siyempre, parang sa amin, ang importante 'yung daily relationship namin sa kids namin. Kung meron man kaming naririnig na ganyan, sa mga interview siguro na ganito or people coming up to us. Pero 'yung pressure na 'yon, hindi eh. Kasi iba 'yung sa bahay namin,” Chesca said.

She emphasized that what matters to her and Doug is making sure their children feel their presence and support at home, rather than being affected by other people's opinions.
“So, kami, kailangan namin alagaan ang mga anak namin. Na ma-feel ng mga anak namin na nandiyan kami para sa kanila. So 'yung mga opinyon ng mga ibang tao, that's their opinion. But for us, what matters is doon sa bahay, kung ano ang nangyayari,” she added.
Boy then asked Chesca if she and Doug make time to sit down with their children and discuss things as a family. Chesca shared that they have regular family activities that allow them to communicate and spend time together.
“Every Sundays we have our family Bible study. We talk... Every day we have dinner together. My school, and then, how was your day,” Chesca said.
