Peter Paul Paterno, a Filipino who resided in New Zealand for more than 10 years came home to surprise his grandmother.

In a video shared by PaterknowsTV via GMA News, one could see that Peter was approaching his grandmother who was busy sweeping the ground.

Without introducing himself, the old woman started to wonder who he was.

Feeling threatened, she then raised the broomstick and tried to hit him with it.

As he tried to run away, he then took off his mask and showed his face to his grandma.

It was only then when his grandma hugged him.

It was such a sweet moment for both of them.

In a previous report by KAMI, a 16-year-old boy jumped into a creek but unfortunately died after allegedly trying to steal a bicycle. The incident happened in Barangay Imelda, Baguio City, yesterday. According to the police's investigation, the teenager was accompanied by a 10-year-old boy in his attempt to steal a bicycle. However, a construction worker saw them and called them out; that's when they tried to flee from the scene and jumped into a creek.

In another viral story reported by KAMI, a gasoline boy was chopped in the face with a machete when a customer whom he called out got mad at him. The suspect allegedly asked for his motorcycle tank to be fully filled, however, he only paid ₱50. In a CCTV footage, the rider parked his motorcycle on one side of the gasoline station, took out a machete from his utility box, and swung it right in the face of the gasoline boy. Thankfully, the suspect was caught by a security guard, and the victim was quickly taken to the hospital and is now recovering from the wound.
