The incident happened around midnight on Sunday in Barangay Cogon Pardo, according to a report by Alan Domingo for GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak aired Friday.
CCTV footage captured the teenager sitting along the side of the road before the group of young men approached him. The boys appeared to surround the victim before initially talking to him.
The situation reportedly escalated shortly afterward, with the teenager being punched several times and kicked by members of the group.

The assault only stopped when a resident came outside and confronted the young men over their actions. The intervention prevented the attack from continuing.
Authorities were later informed about the incident, and the barangay has reportedly summoned the young men involved in the alleged assault.
The victim was not a resident of the area where the incident occurred. Reports said he had traveled to the barangay because he wanted to visit his girlfriend.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged jealousy that may have triggered the confrontation have not been fully detailed in the report.
The incident has since been brought to the attention of barangay officials, who are expected to address the involvement of the minors in the attack. The CCTV footage may also help establish what happened before and during the confrontation.
